Hello, knights! Steve here.
After three seasons spanning 68 episodes and a Patreon page hosting six fairy tales, 13 letters, and one interview, we have decided to put “The Adventures of Red Knight” on indefinite hiatus.
Why?
First and most importantly, the podcast will stay on the internet! All your favorite episodes will remain on all major streaming platforms.
When we started this podcast, I was a full-time, stay-at-home dad. Now, with my children growing older and the threat of college tuitions looming on the horizon, it is time for me to re-enter the workforce and get a Real Job. Captain Zort recommended I go rob a bank instead, but after careful consideration I decided against it.
What About Patreon?
To our patrons: your contributions have helped make this podcast possible, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Because we are no longer putting out new content, we will be shutting down our Patreon page at the end of January and migrating over to Ko-Fi. This allows for one-time donations via PayPal and gives us access to a digital storefront. If you would like to continue your monthly contribution, you can do that on Ko-Fi too!
Going forward, any previous Patreon content (i.e., the Letters, Fairy Tales, etc.) will be placed on sale via the Ko-Fi digital storefront. Current Patrons: please remember to download everything before the end of the month!
Additionally, we will be releasing a free-to-download episode on the Ko-Fi store: “The Awakening”, written by my son Sam (age 9)! It’s a pretty fun episode, and you can trust me on this because I am completely unbiased.
The Future
I still have ideas for podcast episodes and may release infrequent updates, time permitting. And who knows? Maybe circumstances will change. Maybe I’ll win the lottery. Maybe Netflix will start flooding my inbox with pitch requests. Maybe a mysterious and heretofore unknown billionaire relative will materialize and swoop down in their golden helicopter to drop a bag filled with money on my doorstep. None of these events seem very likely, but considering all that’s happened the past few years I’ve given up trying to guess what’s going to happen next.
Final Words
I would like to thank each and every person who has listened to the podcast and left a kind word or review, or shared your photos and videos. It has meant the world to me to know that I’ve made a positive difference in your days, no matter how small.
If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below, and I will answer them as best I can.
Farewell for now, my friends! May you have many pleasant adventures in the days ahead!
